Media: Estonian drug traffickers are trying to recruit Northern Military District veterans

Estonian drug traffickers, who supply drugs to Russia using drones, are making attempts to recruit military veterans who can operate FPV drones, RIA Novosti reported, citing a law enforcement source.

As noted, drug traffickers from Estonia offer such specialists significant money.

Earlier it was reported about the liquidation of a drug smuggling channel from Estonia to Russia in the Leningrad region. As noted, unmanned aerial vehicles were used to smuggle drugs across the border. Drug traffickers transported large quantities of cocaine and hashish across the Narva River. The scheme was quite simple – the attackers tied a package with narcotic substances to a drone, after which the operator, controlling it, delivered the “cargo” to Russia. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made, the statement said.
