The songs of Mireille Darc brought together for the first time in an album

La grande Sauterelle sang with this charm that belonged only to her texts and melodies composed by Serge Gainsbourg, Gilbert Bécaud, Jean-Jacques Debout and Michel Sardou. Label Universal has compiled them into two vinyl records.
In duet with Michel Sardou, she hummed the libidinous desires of a Grief Shark vaguely in love with her. Like an unforgettable ode to the great Sauterelle who passed away in 2017, for the first time around thirty songs by Mireille Darc are brought together in a double disc on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the disappearance of the actress, who recorded titles composed especially for her by Serge GainsbourgPierre Delanoë or Frédéric Botton.
Released on August 28 by Universal Music’s heritage label Panthéon, this double disc, released only on vinyl, brings to light fun and sometimes naughty songs that the actress recorded from 1960, like of The Rider and of black flagtitles written and composed by “the man with the head of cabbage”.
A mischievous muse
Gilbert Bécaud and Jean-Jacques Debout also wrote several songs for Mireille Darc, sex symbol of the pop years, fetish and popular actress of Audiard and Lautner before becoming in the 1990s a committed documentary filmmaker with reference reports on life in prison or the daily life of prostitutes.

Mireille Darc will have left us too early on August 28, 2017 at the age of 79. Affected since childhood by a murmur in the heart, the actress had had open-heart surgery twice in 1980 and 2013. At the end of 2016, she had suffered two cerebral hemorrhages.
