Hunter Biden, the son of US President Joe Biden, was accused of evading at least $1.4 million in federal taxes between 2016 and 2019. This is stated in the indictment received on Thursday in the District Court for the Central District of California.
Biden Jr. is also accused of filing false tax returns. According to Fox News, he could face up to 17 years in prison.
Previously, Hunter Biden was charged with three offenses related to possession of weapons and drugs. A weapons investigation began in 2018 after it was learned he was using drugs and possessing a Colt Cobra revolver.
