The son of the famous Chinese communist Wang Ming died on Tuesday morning in Moscow. His father stood at the origins of the creation of the Communist Party of China, was the main opponent of Mao Zedong and almost died after being poisoned by the head of state.
As MK learned, 84-year-old Wang Danzhi died in his apartment on Frunzenskaya Embankment. He lived in Moscow since 1959 and was married to a Russian woman. Wang Danzhi worked in the Laboratory of Mechanics and Stability Theory of the Computing Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, then at the Institute of the Far East. In addition, he published the memoirs of his father, Wang Ming.
Wang Ming stood at the origins of the creation of the Communist Party of China and actually headed the central bodies of the CPC. Wang Ming strongly opposed the strengthening of Mao Zedong’s influence and was poisoned – according to those close to him, on the personal order of the head of state. Wang Ming recovered, but was forced to leave the country, and while in the USSR, he wrote the book “50 Years of the CCP and the Betrayal of Mao Zedong,” dedicated to unknown episodes of Chinese politics.
