The Social Fund awarded 32 pensions in the event of the loss of a breadwinner to relatives of victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, said the chairman of the fund, Sergei Chirkov. According to him, the hotline for payment issues received 270 calls, another five to the single contact center.

“16 victims have been identified who have pension savings in the Social Fund… The legal successors’ application for payment of pension savings is carried out before the expiration of six months from the date of death of the insured person,” Mr. Chirkov explained to RIA Novosti.

The terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall occurred on March 22. Armed men burst into the complex and shot visitors before setting the building on fire. According to the latest data, 139 people died. The FSB detained 11 people, including four suspected terrorists. According to the authorities’ decision, the families of the victims will be paid 3 million rubles. Victims who are in hospitals are entitled to payments of 1 million rubles, and those who are treated on an outpatient basis – 500 thousand rubles. As of March 26, Moscow region authorities paid compensation 52.
