The Social Fund assigned a single allowance for 140,000 children under 17; the fund received 730,000 applications for a new payment. Families will receive benefits within the next week.
A single allowance is paid to low-income families, its amount is 50, 75 or 100% of the regional subsistence minimum.
As reported press office Social Fund began to consider applications on January 3 (reception began on December 28 on the public services portal) and by now, payments have been approved for 140 thousand children under 17, as well as for 3 thousand pregnant women.
During the first days of January, the Social Fund also approved payments for 42 thousand first-born children under 3 years old who appeared in families before the end of last year. Now the payment for such children is included in the single allowance and is issued according to the new rules.
January 6 Social Fund appointed a single allowance for 80,000 children under the age of 17.
