Father Frost and Snow Maiden will come to you at the agreed time and call you! You will go down to them and give gifts for the children! The actors (at the entrance) will change into a change of clean costume shoes and prepare for the program! After 10 minutes, the Snow Maiden will knock on your door, and from that moment the fairy-tale program will begin!”

We also found budget options in Moscow, but it turned out that the price was 1,500 rubles. 15 minutes of “entertainment” with grandfather and his granddaughter was valid until December 22. And then the cost grows every day. Artists also work on New Year’s Eve (23.00–01.00 – 4,400 rubles). There is a “VIP program”, which costs 10,000 rubles until December 28, then higher, and the peak cost occurs on New Year’s Eve: 26,000 rubles. Olesya, an artist of the Moscow musical theater, has been working as a Snow Maiden in her free time from the main stage for six years. This year, the program for half an hour for him and his grandfather costs, as on average in Moscow, 5,000 rubles, but closer to the New Year it is more expensive. Prices are slightly higher than last year.

“I feel like the number of orders for corporate events has definitely increased compared to previous years,” Olesya told MK. — I am monitoring the situation, and this year the demand for Santa Clauses, Snow Maidens, presenters and DJs has increased. Apparently, the companies got money.

The number of orders is generally unpredictable. For example, we were working on December 31st, we left some customers, and we got a call: “Can you come to us?” But we already had everything planned out. We said that now we could come only on January 1 in the evening, and they waited for us all night and day.

“Working in an apartment is no easier than on large sites or at corporate events,” continues Snegurochka Olesya. “One of my friends thinks it’s very simple: he came, recited a poem, asked the child… But this is only an appearance. Firstly, you must feel the child, understand with whom you need to be more gentle, with whom, on the contrary, you need to be stricter. Children are different, some are sweethearts, and some are spoiled. Secondly, you need to feel the atmosphere, where, at what point, perhaps you need to change the direction of the script, because this script does not suit this family.

One day we came to a family, there was a small child, and a neighbor came with a 10-year-old boy. It was very hard work! Because the elder grinned and commented on our every word: “all this is nonsense,” etc. But when we held a competition for “magic” (“the magical power of Santa Claus”), he tried to understand with the help of logic: how did we do it? And I couldn’t find an explanation. And we told him that we were fabulous. I won’t reveal secrets, but the point is that Grandfather Frost guesses thoughts.

If parents want a budget option, then they call one Grandfather or one Snow Maiden (but this is extremely rare). Most often, if the child is small, the beautiful Snow Maiden comes to him first to prepare him for the appearance of Grandfather with a big beard. It often happens that a child hides. “He will hide under the sofa, and you call and call him… Even the Snow Maiden can be scared.”

As for the attitude of the stronger sex towards the winter beauty, when the “granddaughter and grandfather” work in families, then, of course, everything is decorous and noble, the parents take the process very seriously. But participation in New Year’s adult corporate parties is a completely different matter.

— At corporate events, men’s main task is to seduce the Snow Maiden. There is such a belief: “if you defrost the Snow Maiden, you will be lucky this year.” So that she “loves you with all her heart” (and what kind of “love” – platonic or carnal – I mean, I don’t know), – Olesya smiled.

“This year our number of orders has increased,” another Snow Maiden (with 12 years of experience) – Maria Tomilina-Ulyashkina from Saransk – shared with MK. — If last year there were only 45, now there are already 45 on December 22, and they will continue to order until the New Year. We already have 15 visits scheduled for December 31st (half an hour each), with two more spots left.

Nowadays, family corporate events are becoming more and more fashionable, when teams get together with family members and invite us.

This year we are visiting the children with a charming “live” dragon, the symbol of the year, which we made to order. I put it on my hand, and the children believe that it is alive. They even ask if it will bite? We offer to appease him, play a game with him, throw snowballs at him (his mouth opens and he catches them), etc. Children make their wishes in his ear.

This year we have an unusual order. Although the Year of the Dragon is coming, one boy wanted a live “hug goose” (a popular toy – author). He told his dad that he dreamed of playing with a living “cuddle.” And we were asked to give the child a live bird. But we don’t yet know how this will happen. (Smiles.) Either put the goose in a bag, or carry it in some other way – I don’t know.

The most common gifts for children last year and this year are skates, toys, books and gadgets. Usually we are invited to children under seven years old. And after that, few people believe in our existence: the Internet opens the eyes of children!

In December I manage to earn a lot of extra money, says Maria. They charge 3,000 rubles for their visit, and 4,000 rubles on December 31. On New Year’s Eve they try to work until 22:00, but if you receive a request to come after 22:00, then in this case they do not refuse, but at a double rate. It happens that Maria and her Grandfather participate in charity events: they work for free in families with disabled children and in orphanages. The rest of the year, Maria organizes children’s events.

— We are often invited to drink champagne at the festive table. But in our country, alcohol is strictly prohibited; we must preserve our image from beginning to end, otherwise they will no longer be fairy-tale characters,” Snegurochka continues. — By the way, parents almost always actively participate in the program, the children really like it. Now there is such a trend that parents ask to prepare items in the program for them too, especially when they gather in large groups. We are preparing more difficult competitions for them. Adults are also very happy with us, because faith in miracles remains with many throughout their lives.
