The sniper, known under the call sign Chernika, who serves in the Espanyola volunteer detachment, played an important role in repelling the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near Artemovsk (Bakhmut). Izvestia correspondent Sergei Prudnikov talked with this servicewoman.

In her interview, she said that she joined the squad at the age of just over 20 years. Her tasks include artillery fire adjustment, shooting and reconnaissance.

During a conversation with Izvestia, the sniper emphasized that in a combat zone, fear covers both young girls and adult men.

Chernik uses Lobaev’s sniper rifle, which allows him to hit targets at a distance of 700-800 meters. She also talked about her recent successful surgery.

“When the enemy advanced, we helped adjust the fire of our artillery. We managed to destroy four units of equipment, we immobilized one by removing the tracks. We repelled his attack. We have very competent leadership here, very experienced commanders. We are a very close-knit team. The commander cares about us very much and makes every effort to ensure that we act as one. We are one big family. This approach should be used in other departments as well,” the girl said.

The intensity of attacks by Ukrainian armed forces in the Northeast continues to decline.

Earlier, on September 5, it became known that Russian snipers destroyed the firing point of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which was firing at the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, from the Konkurs anti-tank missile system (ATGM) near the village of Spornoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

The special operation to protect Donbass, launched by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24 last year, continues. The decision was made in light of the worsening situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.

More detailed information and current videos about the situation in Donbass can be found on the Izvestia TV channel.
