The skull of a giant sea creature was found on a beach in the USA

The remains of a huge sea creature have been discovered in the coastal waters of California. The Sacramento Bee reports.

A skull about two meters long was found on a beach located 145 kilometers from the city of San Francisco. The photos were published on social networks by a local museum.

Leading paleontologist at the Charleston Paleontological Center, Robert Boessenecker, suggested that the bone found belonged to a blue whale or fin whale.

Fin whales can reach lengths of up to 25 meters and weigh around 80 tons, while blue whales can be up to 33 meters long and weigh up to 165 tons.
