The ski marathon Kandalaksha – Polyarnye Zori will be held in the Murmansk region

Another large-scale sporting event will take place in the Arctic. Athletes from different parts of the country will come to the region to participate in the 54-kilometer ski race.
On Friday, April 7, the press service of the government of the Murmansk region reported on the ski marathon, which will be held in the region soon.
The participants will have to overcome 54 kilometers in a classic style, starting in Kandalaksha and running to Polyarnye Zori. Most of the distance passes through the forest.
About 200 athletes from Murmansk, Moscow, Leningrad regions, Karelia, Izhevsk and other cities will take part in the marathon. It was announced that three-time Olympic silver medalist Maxim Vylegzhanin will start.
The competition will start on April 9 at 10:00 at the ski stadium in Kandalaksha.
