The situation with holidays for mobilized people is being corrected – Kommersant

Russian President Vladimir Putin claims that the situation with vacations for those mobilized in the special operation zone is being corrected, people are getting the opportunity to go on vacation. The head of state proposed to preserve for participants in hostilities the leave they were entitled to once every six months, if it was not used.

“If for some reason the vacation did not take place within six months, it should not be lost. And in the next six months, a person must receive the right to take vacation for both the current six months and the previous ones. This rule is already being implemented in the Ministry of Defense,” said Vladimir Putin during a meeting with representatives of the Chukotka public (quoted from TASS).

In February 2023, the President instructed introduce regular leave for all participants in the military operation in Ukraine, including those mobilized. According to Vladimir Putin’s decree, it should be provided once every six months for 14 days, excluding travel time.

In July, State Duma deputy Nina Ostanina (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) argued in Telegram, that “judging by the letters of the wives and relatives of those mobilized… the president’s instructions are not being properly carried out.” In September the Ministry of Defense assuredthat a set of measures to provide leave to military personnel is being implemented.
