Cousins - 63-year-old Zinaida Sivkova and 57-year-old Alla Romanyuk – lost touch with each other 43 years ago. The homeland of their families is in the Ternopil region, in western Ukraine. Many years later, the women met in Irkutsk. He told about an unusual and confusing story with a happy ending site KP.RU.
Until the age of four, Zina lived with her parents in Ukraine. But at the end of 1963, her family left their homeland. “In Russia, acquaintances were only in Yakutia, we moved there,” she said.
And Alla, after graduating from the eighth grade, entered the Kamyanets-Podilsky technical school of the food industry, where she met her future husband Anatoly. In 1985 they got married, young specialists were sent to work in Yaroslavl, where they stayed to live. At this time, Zina was already a student, she studied at one of the institutes of Irkutsk. She got married, gave birth to a son, and eventually moved her parents from Yakutia to her place.
For more than forty years, the sisters did not know anything about each other. But thanks to the desire to learn about the fate of each other, the perseverance and support of the sisters managed to meet. “We went to Baikal, to Taltsy, visited the sights of Irkutsk, were in the Philharmonic and the theater,” they shared their impressions of the time spent together.
