Singing choir of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Yekaterina Yershova, told reporters on Saturday that she was doing well and was not detained by the Ukrainian security forces. This was announced by the RT channel in its Telegram.
“Thank God, everything is fine,” the TV channel quotes Ekaterina.
She said that she was in Kyiv. She said: “I calmly walk the streets, yesterday I was in the service and today too.”
Earlier, a resident of the Lavra reported that Yershov disappeared, the monks sounded the alarm, deciding that Ukrainian special services could have detained her. The message about the missing believer has spread in the media, as many are worried about her fate, seeing what is happening in Ukraine.
On Saturday, Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, Deputy Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, published a video in which a girl kneels with an icon and a crucifix in a crowd of dancing provocateurs at the entrance to the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
The singer prayed and baptized people, and around her the radicals jumped and grimaced to the nationalist song. All this happened during worship.
Later, the name of the singers became known, and then the girl stopped communicating.
