The Serpukhov sports club for disabled people “Equal Opportunities” has updated its fleet of vehicles! A gift on the eve of the New Year – the keys to a new minibus were presented to the director of the association, Viktor Porvatov, by Moscow Regional Duma deputy Tatyana Karzubova.
This vehicle is equipped with a special lift designed to transport people with disabilities. In addition, the club received a new table tennis table and rackets. All of this inventory was purchased through a proactive budgeting program.
– I always emphasize that for disabled people, a car is their freedom. This gives them the opportunity to move freely and participate in various activities, since not every mode of transport is suitable. In addition, the sports club offers top-level training, which makes this car especially important,” said Tatyana Karzubova, a deputy of the Moscow Regional Duma.
Deputy Head of Serpukhov Anastasia Kurbatova also noted that these gifts will help athletes reach new heights and comfortably get to competitions:
– The past year has given us good results. And for my part, I want to express my words of gratitude to everyone: both the employees of “Equal Opportunities” and every athlete. You are an example for how to live.
There are 316 people involved in the Equal Opportunities club, including 55 children. The club’s students and instructors are included in the national team of Russia and the Moscow region.
Let us remind you that last year residents of the district cast their votes for Serpukhov’s socially significant projects. Based on the voting results, a number of sports, cultural and educational institutions in the district received new equipment.
