Vučić said that Serbia’s GDP could reach more than 90 billion euros by 2027
Serbia is capable of tripling its GDP in the coming years at current growth rates. This was stated by the country’s President Aleksandar Vucic.
The head of state presented the development plan “Serbia 2027 – a leap into the future.” Vučić recalled that in 2021 the country’s GDP was estimated at 33 billion euros. In his words, in 2027, “if we are successful and we do everything we planned.” Gross domestic product could reach 92.7 billion euros. The President of Serbia added that with favorable geopolitical conditions and increased investment, the 100 billion mark is achievable.
The head of state previously called Belgrade’s winning the right to host the specialized international exhibition Expo-27 one of Serbia’s fantastic successes. Argentina, Spain, the USA and Thailand also applied to organize the prestigious event, which helps attract investment.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Milos Vucevic confirmed Serbia’s intentions to join the EU, but said that the country would not spoil relations with Russia.
