The secret of the Giza plateau, which the Egyptians chose for the construction of the pyramids, is revealed

Archaeologists from Egypt and France were able to answer the question of why the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids on the Giza plateau.
We are talking about the pharaohs of the IV dynasty of the Old Kingdom. Historians published their findings in an article in the journal PNAS.
“We used pollen deposits in the rocks of the former floodplain of the Nile to reconstruct how the course of the Nile has changed around Giza over the past 8,000 years,” the scientists said about their work.
They found out that the Nile became shallow at the end of the dynastic period in the history of Ancient Egypt, while during the reign of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, the channel was navigable, and building materials could be delivered to the Giza plateau. Scientists have long been trying to understand how the pyramids and the Sphinx were built and how exactly the blocks of limestone, granite and sandstone were delivered.
The Cheops pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, as well as the Sphinx, were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom.
