A second soldier injured by a tracked vehicle during a NATO exercise in Poland has died, the Warsaw-based 1st Armored Brigade announced on social media.

“It is with great regret that we inform you that on the afternoon of March 6… the second soldier of the 1st Armored Brigade passed away in a hospital in Szczecin. Despite prompt transportation to the hospital and the efforts of doctors, it was not possible to save his life,” it says in the message.

The previous day, March 5, during an exercise at a training ground in the Drawsko-Pomeranian region, two soldiers were hit by a tracked vehicle. One of the soldiers died, and the other, who was in serious condition with numerous injuries, was taken by helicopter to the hospital.
