The day before in the regional capital there was a home match of the Vologda “Chevakata” in the framework of the Women’s Basketball Superleague. The athletes of the Sparta and K-2 team, representing the city of Vidnoye, became the rivals of the Vologda women. Despite the confident leadership of the “bees” in the standings, yesterday’s game ended in favor of the guests with a score of 58:66. This defeat was the second for Chevakata of the season.
It is worth noting that during the first quarter the Vologda basketball players even managed to build up a slight advantage (18:14), but in the next three ten minutes the opponents began to play more confidently, thanks to which they went ahead. As a result, the Vologda women could not catch up with the guests.
Let’s add that this loss did not change Chevakata’s position in the overall position of the teams. Representatives of the regional capital continue to take first place.
The next games of the “bees” will be held away: on January 15, the girls will play in Noginsk, and on January 18 – in Kazan. The next home match will take place on January 25 with Platov.
