The second convoy with humanitarian aid for Donbass departed from France. Help was collected by residents of 8 European countries, said Anna Novikova-Bernet, head of the SOS Donbass association.
There were about 30 aid collection points in total. “We had to leave half,” the activist shared. “We couldn’t find a suitable truck—we didn’t have enough money to rent.”
The first obstacles, according to her, began from Estonia, where the convoy will cross the Russian border. “They no longer process customs declarations,” said Novikova-Bernet. “We had to urgently look for a broker who could prepare the documents.”
The convoy will pass Donetsk, Mariupol and Lugansk. The association managed to collect about 20 tons of humanitarian aid. These include walkers, hospital beds, wheelchairs, heaters, medicines, clothing, hyena supplies, and animal food.
The first pan-European convoy with humanitarian aid since the beginning of the Northern Military District in Ukraine was delivered to Donbass in May.
