“The season is very interesting”: summed up in the amateur football of the Kuban

The match for the Super Cup of the Krasnodar Territory drew a line under the summer season in amateur football. On October 29, at the stadium of KubSU, the owner of the Cup of the Territory “Pioneer” from the Leningrad won Kuban champion “Vistu-KubGU” from Gelendzhik with a score of 9:1 and won the second trophy this year.

The results of the season for MK in Kuban were summed up by the Deputy Chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Football Federation Vasily Rule.

– As for the Super Cup, Pioneer turned out to be 3 heads stronger in a particular match and won with a score of 9:1. And the Kuban championship turned out to be very interesting. Literally until the last match, nothing was known. In the penultimate round played between themselves in Timashevsk “Rus” and the Leningrad “Pioneer”. If the team from Leningradskaya won, it would have become the champion ahead of schedule for the round before the end. If she had won “Rus” – she would also have practically booked the first place for herself, in the last round she would have had to not lose in Dinskaya. But the teams played in a draw, and Vista-KubGU took advantage of this, becoming the champion. She equally scored points with “Rus”, but in personal meetings the team from Gelendzhik had the advantage. “Pioneer” became the third. In general, this is a fairly natural result. The three teams are about the same level. They also made the top three last year, just in a different order.

Now 10 teams played in 2 rounds, the first five went to the second stage with the points scored. 6-10 teams also played each other. We have already used this formula.

And 40 teams participated in the Governor’s Cup. They were divided into 4 groups on a territorial basis. Then the best four team was determined, which gathered in Kropotkin for the final stage. In the decisive match, Lokomotiv from Kropotkin won against Sopka Geroev (Krymsky District) and deservedly became the winner. It is worth saying that a large number of spectators were at the final – more than a thousand people.
