The interregional Cup of Friendship tournament “Sakhalin and Donbass – together we are strong” took place in Donetsk Shakhtersk. This was reported by the press service of the Youth Affairs Agency of the Sakhalin Region.
The sports event was organized and conducted by island youth. More than 120 sambists from the DPR, LPR, Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Territory, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk came to the competition.
“Such tournaments will continue to be held at our humanitarian center in the future. After all, Sakhalin is the birthplace of Vasily Oshchepkov, the founder of sambo, Sakhalin and Kuril residents are very sensitive to this sport and, of course, are waiting for DPR athletes to visit,” emphasized the head of the Sakhalin branch of MGER Elena Krasilnikova.
Athletes competed for more than 30 awards. Sakhalin residents adequately demonstrated their skills and abilities in the national sport.
Previously “MK on Sakhalin” wrotethat the Russian stage of international robotics competitions will take place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
