The Salekhard taekwondo school commented on the conflict with the fitness studio

The editors of “MK Yamal” received a comment from the Salekhard taekwondo school “VT Jitai” regarding conflict with neighbors in the building on Mira, 17a – the non-profit fitness studio “Atmosphere”. Sports school coach Natalya Lebedeva assured our correspondent that the controversial issue with a blocked emergency exit, due to which the studio risks closing, will be resolved in the coming days. Natalya Lebedeva said that she previously worked at Atmosphere herself, but then the head of the studio, Evgenia Rozhkovskaya, decided to stop collaborating. Currently, the coach teaches classes at the VT Jitai taekwondo school, which rented premises on Sergei Lazo, but it was inconvenient for the young students to travel so far for training.

“The Yamal Federation of Army Hand-to-Hand Combat won the auction for the space on Mira. The director of our school, Rami Meshri, turned to the President of the Federation, Igor Pavlisky, and asked to allow us to conduct classes here free of charge – at a time when the hall is free. He agreed, and we began to conduct training for children on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The main entrance, which was used by Evgenia Rozhkovskaya’s studio, became ours, and they now have another entrance – through the hall. I don’t see anything wrong with this, but for some reason it’s a problem for them,” Natalya Lebedeva told our correspondent.

Indeed, from a conversation with Evgenia Rozhkovskaya, we learned that the new entrance is inconvenient for Atmosphere: if previously there was an entrance group, now a person enters directly into the gym, literally “on the heads” of those working out. The head of a non-profit studio is confident that the number of clients will decrease due to this innovation. Natalya Lebedeva, in turn, claims that the issue is easy to resolve.

“Evgenia has a storage room; there used to be a sauna there. She should put the large fitness balls there, remove the rack from these balls, then a person entering the gym can calmly walk into the locker room along the wall, without disturbing anyone or stepping on anyone. There is no problem with this. We will solve another issue that worries the head of Atmosfera literally today or tomorrow – we will open an evacuation exit,” promised the coach of the Salekhard taekwondo school.

When asked why this door was blocked in the first place, our interlocutor did not answer. Nevertheless, she assured that in the very near future the director of the sports school will install locks that Atmosphere representatives will be able to open from the inside at any time and evacuate clients in the event of an emergency.

“I think the door between our rooms will not close at all. At the same time, we will install “turntables” there, which Evgenia can open from her side. We will also equip our front door with a lock that can be locked from the outside, and from the inside you can turn the “turntable” and leave. This way, Atmosfera will have an evacuation exit,” emphasized Natalya Lebedeva.

The editors of MK Yamal turned to the president of the regional Federation of Army Hand-to-Hand Combat, Igor Pavlisky, for comment; at the time of publication of the material, no response was received. We are also awaiting a response to an official request sent to the Salekhard administration – they promised to provide us with a comment in the near future.

Let us remind you that the head of the non-profit studio “Atmosphere”, Evgenia Rozhkovskaya, told a correspondent of “MK Yamal” that the administration of Salekhard promised to give the studio an adjacent room, but then changed its decision and put the territory up for auction – “Atmosphere” could only get the hall after paying an amount of about 80 thousand , which the NPO does not have. The Yamal Federation of Army Hand-to-Hand Combat won the auction and gave the premises to a taekwondo school, which, in turn, blocked the evacuation exit for Atmosfera. This made classes in the fitness studio unsafe: in the event of an emergency, women would not be able to leave the building. Therefore, talk began about the imminent closure of the NPO. By the way, it was this organization that won a grant from the governor of Yamal and is implementing the “School of Women’s Health” project.
