On September 16, a mass athletics competition “Cross of Nations” will be held in Yekaterinburg. In this regard, from 6:00 to 15:00 traffic will be blocked along Lenin Avenue from Vostochnaya to Mira and along Mira from Malyshev to Pervomaiskaya.
“Change the routes of public transport on the streets during the Cross of Nations,” says the resolution signed by the head of the city, Alexei Orlov.
In addition, the sale of alcoholic beverages will be prohibited on Malysheva and Pervomaiskaya streets (from Bazhov to Sofia Kovalevskaya), on Gagarin and Vostochnaya (from Malyshev to Pervomaiskaya), on Gagarin (from Malyshev to Pervomaiskaya), on Lenin (from Bazhov to Gagarin).
Last year, as MK-Ural reported, More than 80 thousand people took part in the “Cross of the Nation”. Famous athletes took to the race.
In Yekaterinburg, 16,674 people took to the start line. The runners started from the main building of UrFU along Mira Street and Lenin Avenue.
Professional athletes ran distances of 8 kilometers (men), 4 kilometers (women). Young athletes from 11 to 15 years old covered a distance of 1 kilometer.
