The Sakhalin team took second place in the curling tournament

The regional curling cup was played on Sakhalin. The final games of the tournament took place on the ice of the Vostok training center, the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region reported.
Four teams from the island region, Khabarovsk and Primorsky territories took part in the competition. Each team consisted of four athletes aged from 9 to 17 years. Over three days of competition, the athletes played five games in the group system.
“During the year of the existence of curling on Sakhalin, we organized several regional competitions, played a championship and a regional Cup, and also held a championship where our guys won against the Khabarovsk and Primorsky territories. Today we have more than 50 people training, of which 23 are children who want to train professionally,” shared the senior curling coach of the Sakhalin region, Ekaterina Antonova.
According to the results of the competition, Khabarovsk residents took first place. The Sakhalin team is in second place. An honorable third place in the Primorsky Territory.
