The Sakhalin region will host the All-Russian Swimcup 2024

In August 2024, three swims will be held on Sakhalin as part of the Swimcup~Beeline Champions Cup series. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports.
The first of three starts is “Sakhalin Tunaicha 2024”. It will take place on August 25 and will include the “Light” 1000 m, “Classic” 2000 m and “Ultra” 4000 m distances, the tracks of which will be laid out in circles. Details and registration for the swim are available at link.
On August 28, “Minutes Sakhalin 2024” will be held in the 50-meter pool of the water sports school. These are exclusive timed distance swims for swimmers aged 14 and over. Participants will be able to test their strength in individual swimming for 15, 30 and 60 minutes and a 10-minute relay race. The allowed swimming style is crawl. The island Swimcup series will end on August 31 with the Sakhalin Aniva 2024 starts. The competition will include circular distances “Classic” 2000 m and “Ultra” 4000 m, as well as linear “Ultra 16000” in a challenge format, where participants will be divided into groups of 4-5 people according to the stated pace.
