On the territory of most of the Russian Federation on May 5 you can see a penumbral eclipse of the moon
A penumbral eclipse of the Moon on Friday is expected in most of Russia, with the exception of Taimyr and Chukotka. In Moscow, the Moon will be too low above the horizon, which will interfere with observation, the press service of the Moscow Planetarium said.
As noted, the eclipse can be observed from 18:14 to 22:31 Moscow time. The moon at this time will be located in the constellation Libra.
During the largest phase, it will stop above the horizon in most of the territory of the Russian Federation, with the exception of the northwestern regions, where it will still be light, and the extreme northeast of Russia, where it will already be morning.
It is specified that the eclipse will be visible from any place where the Moon is currently above the horizon, including from Antarctica, most of Asia, from Southern and Eastern Europe, Russia, Australia, Africa, as well as in the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans.
