The Russians called the main scientific achievements of the last decades

As shown survey VTsIOM, timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Science, the majority of Russians (70%) are interested in achievements in this area. Every second (48%) believes that modern world science is on the rise: serious discoveries are being made that have an impact on the development of society. Opinions about the pace of development of domestic science in comparison with the world were divided. Most believe that it is either slightly behind (32%) or slightly ahead (28%).
The rating of achievements of Russian and world science of the last decades was headed by military developments. They are followed by medicine and space. At the same time, more than half (58%) of respondents could not name any achievements at all.
