The Russians called the main condition for the birth of children

The vast majority of Russians (96%) consider a stable income a necessary condition for having a child – this follows from a survey by the Public Opinion Foundation. At the same time, it turned out that 36% of respondents consider the amount of monthly family income from 50,000 to 99,000 rubles to be sufficient for having their first child.
The second most important condition for the birth of children, according to the results, is the presence of own housing (79%). Next come a registered marriage (57%) and the presence of savings (52%). The top five conditions for the birth of a child included the presence of a professional education for both parents – a little less than half (48%) think so.
The weekly all-Russian door-to-door survey FOMnibus was conducted from July 28 to July 30 in 53 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. During the survey, 1.5 thousand respondents were interviewed in 104 settlements.
