VTsIOM: Russians consider 63 years as the age of old age
Russians who agreed to take part in the latest VTsIOM survey, in the majority, believe that they will be able to live to 79 years. As sociologists noted, women on average plan to live a little longer than men – up to 80 years versus 78.
It is indicated that this is how the respondents answered the question, taking into account the preservation of the current way of life. Under ideal conditions, according to the respondents, they could live up to 85 years.
“And the maximum – more than a century – 150 years,” the publication of the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center says.
Survey participants believe that old age begins on average at age 63. At the same time, respondents over the age of 60 stated that old age comes later – only at the age of 68. The Russians surveyed under the age of 25, on the contrary, believe that old age will begin at the age of 58.
