Chuvashia will become the host of the Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) championship for the first time. This was stated by the Minister of Sports of the Republic Vasily Petrov. Competitions among the strongest Russian mixed style fighters are scheduled for the end of April 2024. Petrov discussed the progress of preparations for their holding with the head of the regional Federation of Mixed Martial Arts MMA Andrey Zhilkin. The minister expressed confidence that the Russian MMA Championship will help the development of this sport in the republic.
