The concert of singer Diana Arbenina planned for the end of February in the capital of Primorye will take place. There is no reason for its cancellation, since the event was approved by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, the Vladivostok municipal administration control center (MCC) reported.
“Two official appeals were received to the (Vladivostok) administration via the Internet reception regarding the cancellation of the concert of Diana Arbenina and the Night Snipers group. The concert organizers were given recommendations to coordinate the performance of the announced artist with the Russian Ministry of Justice (register of foreign agents) and make a decision on cancellation if necessary. The concert organizers implemented the recommendations in agreement with the Russian Ministry of Justice. The concert of Diana Arbenina and the group “Night Snipers” is held in accordance with current legislation, there are no plans to cancel it,” the MCU quotes the message TASS.
The MCU also clarified that the group’s activities are not prohibited, and “the creative repertoire complies with censorship.”
Earlier, calls to cancel Diana Arbenina’s concert appeared in comments to posts by Primorye Governor Oleg Kozhemyako on social networks.
Concert Diana Arbenina and the Night Snipers group in Vladivostok is scheduled for February 27 at the Fetisov Arena sports complex. Tickets costing from 2,200 to 10 thousand rubles are already being sold.
Last November, Diana Arbenina’s concert was canceled in Tomsk after complaints from local residents. The singer’s concerts in Togliatti, Cheboksary, Ulyanovsk, Pyatigorsk, Kazan, Ufa and Perm were also cancelled. The frontwoman of the group “Night Snipers” linked the current situation with “the strange unfulfilled ambitions of individual public figures.” Head of the Federal Project on Security and Anti-Corruption Vitaly Borodin previously asked The Prosecutor General’s Office will check the singer under an administrative article about discrediting the Russian army.
