The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs warns about provocateurs who may attempt to induce children and adolescents to engage in terrorist activities. Official representative of the department Irina Volk spoke about this on Monday, March 25.

As Irina Volk clarified, such provocateurs conduct their criminal activities through the Internet, instant messengers and social networks, the main audience of which is young people.

In this regard, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has developed a number of recommendations. In particular, parents need to inform children and adolescents about all possible risks and threats on the Internet, and teach their child not to respond to dubious offers and messages on social networks.

Adults should find out who the child is corresponding with in private messages, and also pay attention to the child’s behavior and new interests.

Teenagers should also remain vigilant and tell their parents or teachers about any suspicious offers or new acquaintances, and also report to law enforcement agencies.

Earlier, the former head of the Russian Central Bureau of Interpol, Vladimir Ovchinsky, recalled that the terrorist attack in Crocus occurred two weeks after the US and British embassies warned about an impending terrorist attack in Moscow and advised their citizens avoid large crowds of people.

Military expert, retired colonel Bakhtiyor Rakhmonov explained why the Ukrainian Embassy in Tajikistan openly recruited mercenariesand also emphasized that official structures should have monitored this.
