Russian military personnel ousted the Ukrainian military from the western outskirts of the village of Dvurechnoye, Kharkov region, reported in his Telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the daily summary.
“In the Kupyansk direction, as a result of offensive operations by units of the Western Group of Forces, the enemy was driven out from the western outskirts of the settlement of Dvurechnoye, Kharkiv region,” the statement says.
The ministry also reported that army aviation and artillery defeated the formations of the 92nd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Krakhmalny and Berestovoye districts of the Kharkiv region.
“On the Krasno-Limansky direction, the offensive operations of the units of the group of troops “Center” continued,” the Ministry of Defense noted.
The ministry also reported that Russian units were able to take more advantageous positions in the Donetsk direction. Warehouses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with ammunition and rocket and artillery weapons were destroyed near Kramatorsk and Vuhledar of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
Near the settlements of Markovo, Tikhonovka and Novomikhailovka of the DPR, American counter-battery radar stations AN / TPQ-36, AN / TPQ-37 and AN / TPQ-50 were destroyed.
Near the village of Novokairi in the Kherson region, a combat vehicle of the BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system was destroyed, near the village of Tokarevka – an ammunition depot.
During the day, air defense systems destroyed thirteen drones, shot down four rockets of the Alder and HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, and a Tochka-U tactical missile.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
