The Russian Army destroyed part of the reserves of cruise missiles and shells with depleted uranium of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
“Part of the stockpiles of cruise missiles and shells with depleted uranium, launchers of multiple launch rocket systems and anti-aircraft missile systems transferred by the West to Ukraine were destroyed,” says a summary of the progress of the special operation. In total, according to the Ministry of Defense, 12 group strikes with long-range missiles and drones were carried out on these objects.
Over the course of a week, the armed forces repelled 28 attacks by Ukraine in the Donetsk direction, 15 attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Krasnolimansk direction, eight attacks in the Zaporozhye direction, and five attacks in the South Donetsk direction.
The Russian Aerospace Forces shot down two Su-25 attack aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force, as well as a Su-24M and a MiG-29. In addition, attack drones destroyed an aircraft and four radar stations of the Ukrainian army within a week. Over the course of a week, air defense systems destroyed over 250 Ukrainian drones, and 46 HIMARS MLRS shells were intercepted.
A day earlier, the military department reportedthat the Russian army destroyed two German Leopard tanks, as well as repelling four attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk direction in the areas of the settlements of Vodyanoye and Maryinka in the DPR and two more in Krasnolimansky, in the area of Grigorovka and Serebryansky forestry.
Western countries began supplying weapons to Ukraine even before the start of the special operation, but after February 24, 2022, supplies increased significantly. Ukraine is also receiving tanks, MLRS, drones, etc. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Western technology did not help Ukraine achieve progress during the counteroffensive; its characteristics are often inferior even to Soviet-style weapons.
Since the beginning of June, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been conducting active offensive operations. Russian President Vladimir Putin previously called the offensive “not a slippage, but a failure.”
