The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that new artillery guns “Malva” and “Phlox” with a caliber of 152 and 120 mm are being used in the area of the SVO.
Interfax reports that Malva was developed as part of the Sketch development work and is a promising self-propelled artillery gun on a BAZ vehicle chassis. “Phlox” is a self-propelled wheeled gun based on the army “Ural”.
The Ministry of Defense also said in a statement that the Northern Military District “is undergoing experimental combat operation of 82-mm Drok self-propelled mortars” and that the artillerymen are equipped with modernized Msta-S howitzers that have “positively proven themselves during the Northern Military District.”
