According to the serviceman, the Abrams has very good frontal armor, which can only be penetrated by the latest anti-tank guided missiles, such as the Kornet. However, the tank is very vulnerable from the sides.
“It is almost impregnable only in the frontal projection, but the sides and stern can be burned even from an RPG-7 with the appropriate charge. Not to mention the MT-12 Rapier cannon,” the fighter shared.
He also added that the main vulnerability of the American tank is the auxiliary power unit, which ensures the rotation of the turret. If it fails, the machine will become useless.
