The Russian military destroyed the Ukrainian DRG near Soledar

Soldiers of the RF Armed Forces successfully neutralized the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) in the Soledar area. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the commander of the Yenisei detachment with the call sign Amigo and the chief of staff of the Terek brigade with the call sign Bacha.

According to the military, the soldiers of the Terek brigade and the Yenisei Cossack detachment, carrying out combat missions in the Soledar area on the Artyomovsk sector of the front, discovered a landing of Ukrainian paratroopers 20 km from the city.

Yenisei commander Amigo noted that the Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopters acted cautiously to avoid Russian air defense countermeasures. However, Russian fighters tracked their movement with the help of drones. After that, the “Skif” detachment hit the indicated sector with rocket and cannon artillery.

Further, the activities of the medical evacuation group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which tried to pick up the wounded, were already observed.

Recall that the city of Soledar has been under the control of the Russian military since January of this year. This city is of strategic importance, as it is located on the central line of defense between Artemovsk and Seversk. The liberation of Soledar made it possible to cut off the direct supply route between these cities and encircle Artemovsk from the north side. Despite this, the Ukrainian security forces continue to make attempts to return the city under their control.
