On November 9, the grand opening of the national judo championship among boys and girls under 18 took place in Barnaul. The competition in memory of the legendary Vladimir Dmitrievich Shkalov in the Titov Arena will last until November 12.
As part of the opening, a festive fashion show took place – 70 regions of Russia marched with their flags. In total, almost eight hundred athletes came to Barnaul from all over the country. The guests and participants were greeted by Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government Denis Gubin.
“This year is sad because Vladimir Dmitrievich Shkalov left us, but his work lives on.
