The Russian Investigative Committee opened a case after the death of 13 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR under fire

The press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced the initiation of a criminal case against the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the fact of the death of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR as a result of shelling of Ukrainian militants.

As specified, the case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under the articles on ill-treatment of the civilian population and the use of prohibited means and methods in an armed conflict.

According to the investigation, on September 1, the Ukrainian military fired artillery at civilian infrastructure facilities in the village of Rubtsy, Krasnolimansky district of the DPR.

As a result, 13 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR, who were performing search and rescue operations, were killed and nine were injured.
