The Russian government is launching a preferential mortgage program for the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. You can get a loan at a rate of no more than 2% per annum for the purchase and construction of housing in these regions. The maximum loan amount at a preferential rate is 6 million rubles. Initial payment – not less than 10%.
The corresponding decree was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that this is “an important step in the economic integration of the regions.” “Of course, there will be no mass issuance at first, but taking into account the fact that local developers already have interest, the demand for mortgage programs will grow,” he is convinced.
In September 2022, referendums were held in the DPR and LPR, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions of Ukraine, on the issue of joining Russia. Local election commissions reported that the majority of participants in the plebiscite approved joining the Russian Federation. Vladimir Putin signed the corresponding agreement on September 30, and on October 5 appointed acting heads of regions.
