The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the Ambassador of Belgium to Moscow

“It is emphasized that the Russian side has repeatedly warned about the danger of pumping the Armed Forces of Ukraine with Western weapons and equipment, as well as their uncontrolled spread and falling into the hands of terrorist groups,” the Russian Foreign Ministry added, urging Brussels “not to turn a blind eye” to evidence of Kiev’s support for terrorists.
The Washington Post previously drew attention to the use of Belgian weapons supplied to Kyiv in an attack on the Belgorod region. In addition, the American newspaper discovered weapons and equipment that were supplied by the United States, the Czech Republic, Poland, and others. After that, the Le Soir newspaper announced the intention of Brussels to turn to Kyiv for explanations.
5 June Belgian Prime Minister Alexandre De Croo informed journalists that he instructed the intelligence and military services to check the information that the DRG that attacked the Belgorod region used Belgian weapons. He noted that their weapons are intended “for defensive purposes on Ukrainian territory.”
The DRG of the Armed Forces of Ukraine penetrated into the Graivoronsky district of the Belgorod region on May 22. As a result of the incident, one resident of the village of Kozinka died, and 13 more people were injured. During the counter-terrorist operation, the enemy was blocked and defeated, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported. The remnants of the militants were forced out by the Russian military into the territory of Ukraine and liquidated, he said. According to the Ministry of Defense, more than 70 saboteurs were killed.
On June 4, the Ministry of Defense announced the suppression of an attempt to break through the Ukrainian DRG in the Belgorod region. The actions of the enemy were revealed by Russian border guards. As a result of the artillery strike, the enemy was “scattered and retreated.”
