Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has no plans to meet with his American colleagues in New York next week. Ryabkov stated this in a conversation with reporters.
The deputy head of the foreign policy department doubted that such contact was possible in principle, given the deeply hostile policy pursued by the United States towards Russia, as well as how this issue has been viewed over the past few years.
In addition, Ryabkov indicated that he is not aware whether US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has plans to be in New York. He added that the Russian Foreign Ministry does not have the relevant information.
