Roskachestvo has developed a new GOST for conducting psychological and pedagogical examination of toys, Izvestia reports.

This standard defines criteria that will help identify children’s products that can harm the health and development of children. The organization has identified 13 signs that can harm a child. These include products that encourage children to commit actions that pose a threat to their life or health, as well as those that may induce a desire to use drugs.

According to representatives of the State Duma, the legislation already provides for the obligation of manufacturers to conduct such examinations, but previously there was no unified regulation of this process in Russia. The new standard provides comprehensive guidance for the classification of games, toys and play structures.
