The Russian Embassy advised the Swedish expert and Ukraine not to repeat the Battle of Narva

The Russian Embassy in Stockholm ironically reacted to the remarks of the Swedish expert, who advised Ukraine to use the tactics used by the Swedish king Charles XII in the Battle of Narva.
Thus, the Swedish expert Niels Bildt, an economist and a colonel in the reserve, in an article entitled “Ukraine can learn from Charles XII”, published in the newspaper “Svenska Dagbladet”, advises the Ukrainian side to concentrate on “a sudden and bold breakthrough of weak defensive lines” and use tactics Swedish King Charles XII, who attacked the Russian army, allegedly numbering 90 thousand soldiers, with only 10 thousand troops.
However, according to the Russian Embassy, the author of the article overlooks two subsequent events of that time: in 1704 the Russian army took Narva, and in 1709 the troops of Charles XII were defeated in a crushing battle near Poltava, which was the beginning of the decline of Sweden as an empire. Thus the Swedes won a separate battle in 1700, but ultimately lost the war.
