“Tonight, the Russian Armed Forces launched a group strike with sea and air-based long-range high-precision weapons at facilities where terrorist acts against Russia were being prepared using crewless boats, as well as at places where they were manufactured near the city of Odessa,” the report says.
According to the defense department, there were foreign mercenaries at the affected facilities. All targets planned for the strike were destroyed, the Defense Ministry added.
Last night, an air raid alert was announced twice in Odessa. City officials reported damage the largest temple in Odessa – the Transfiguration Cathedral. According to the head of the Odessa regional administration Oleg Kiper, 19 people were injured, one dead.
Since the beginning of the military operation, the Ministry of Defense has stated that it does not strike at civilian targets. “The information disseminated by the Kyiv regime about the defeat of the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odessa as a result of the use of high-precision weapons is not true,” the ministry said.
