The Russian Defense Ministry announced a large-scale provocation being prepared by Ukraine

Under the leadership of the office of the Ukrainian president, a large-scale provocation is being prepared aimed at discrediting Russia, reported in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense with reference to the interdepartmental coordination headquarters of the Russian Federation for humanitarian response in Ukraine.

“According to available data, confirmed by several independent sources, a large-scale provocation is being prepared under the leadership of the office of the President of Ukraine aimed at discrediting the Russian Federation in the international arena,” the ministry said in a statement.

According to the agency, this is an information campaign that should divert public attention from the facts of war crimes published by the UN, committed by the Ukrainian side during the conflict. To this end, in Akhtyrka, Sumy region, an alleged front line site has been recreated, where the remains of those who died from supposedly Russian ammunition with “poisonous substances” will be delivered.

“The Kyiv regime provides for the treatment of this area and the remains of Ukrainian servicemen with a poisonous substance. This will allow invited experts from Western countries, currently on the territory of Ukraine, to document the alleged “use of “chemical weapons” by the Russian armed forces,” the Ministry of Defense clarifies.

Also, according to the ministry, fabricated radio interceptions with a discussion of alleged Russian military use of chemical weapons will be published. The department noted that one of the goals of this media campaign will be an attempt to initiate a meeting of the UN Security Council with appropriate accusations against Russia.

According to the agency, bypassing customs, radioactive substances were brought to Ukraine from Europe, with the help of which it was planned to stage a local contamination of the area.
