The Russian Boxing Federation intends to open a Boxing House in Kostroma

The Boxing Federation of the Kostroma Region reports that its representatives have signed a cooperation agreement with the Russian Boxing Federation on joint work to popularize this sport in Kostroma and the region.
The Kostroma Boxing Federation intends to hold a number of events within the framework of the regional project “Boxing to School” in order to encourage students of technical schools and universities to take up boxing. As part of the project, it is planned to hold joint actions and events to promote boxing among Kostroma residents – these will be government programs, as well as flash mobs and charity events.
In addition, the Secretary General of the Russian Boxing Federation, Tatyana Kiriyenko, during negotiations with Kostroma residents, proposed to recreate the Olympic Reserve School of Boxing in Kostroma and at the same time open a Boxing House named after Nadezhda Torlopova, a Kostroma resident and Olympic medalist.
