The top ten tournaments of the summer season included Russian athletics championship, which was held in Chelyabinsk from 3 to 6 August. The corresponding top is compiled by World Athletics.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Chelyabinsk Region, the rating of each tournament takes into account two assessments – “Level of results” and “Level of participants”.
“Of the types of the PSB program of the Russian Championship 2023, the leaders were “pole vault, men” – 5882 points, “100 meters hurdles, women” – 5793, “10,000 meters walking, men” – 5783 points, commented in the ministry. – The highest rating of results for pole vaulters is Timur Morgunov from South Urals and Alexander Solovyov from Moscow. Danylo Lysenko closes the top three”.
Recall that more than 800 athletes from Russia and Belarus came to the prestigious competitions in Chelyabinsk. For four days, 44 sets of medals were found for their owners. Representatives of the Chelyabinsk region team climbed the podium twice: gold for Vasily Mizinov (walking 10 thousand meters) and Timur Morgnunov (pole vault). According to the organizers, about 20 thousand spectators attended the competition.
