As reported by the press service of the city council of the city of Pogrebyshche, Vinnytsia region, the famous Ukrainian military man Maxim Gatsanyuk, whom the Ukrainian media often called “the best tankman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” died in the Zaporozhye region.
“Our fellow countryman, Maxim Gatsanyuk, born on November 14, 1984, born in the village of Gopchitsa… died on November 8, 2023,” the message says.
It is specified that he was wounded during a battle near the village of Sokol, Zaporozhye region, after which he died.
