The Russian Aerospace Forces have used “bulldozer” tactics: the fortified areas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are being trashed

“Weeding with cassettes”: in Chasov Yar, the Ukrainian Armed Forces experienced “Syrian assaults”

The Ukrainian Armed Forces made a big mistake, because of which they are now having difficulty holding positions in several areas. Having missed the opportunity to build powerful fortified areas, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, after the loss of Avdiivka, were actually left without serious defensive structures. Now they are trying to catch up, but the hastily built shelters are being shattered into atoms as a result of our airstrikes.

According to some reports, the Russian army recently interrupted the operational pause in the Rabotino-Verbovoye area and, striking wave after wave with aerial bombs, is pushing through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. And in the area of Chasov Yar, experts note, the Russian army began to use Syrian tactics of air assaults.

After the loss of the Avdeevsky fortified area, on which the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces made big bets, the enemy actually found himself in a bare field. Having failed to build powerful defensive fortifications behind Avdeevka in a timely manner, the “Vseushniks” can now be content with trenches and hastily try to build something more significant.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are unlikely to be able to do this due to the advancement of our army. The Ukrainian military themselves understand this. Thus, retired Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Grabsky complained to the media that the defensive lines being built by the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not of sufficient quality to withstand a massive attack and the “bulldozer” tactics of our troops. “We don’t have enough engineering parts. And those that exist lack equipment,” he said.

The Wall Street Journal states that Ukraine no longer has fortified areas at the level of Avdiivka or Bakhmut in the Donbass. Therefore, the only remaining option for the Ukrainian Armed Forces is a strategic retreat.

In addition to lost time, there is another factor complicating the construction of new fortifications, namely the massive use of high-power gliding bombs by our army. One of the Ukrainian military-political resources confirms that without mobile air defense, “all fortifications are not suitable against aircraft bombs, which smash them into trash.”

This situation is now observed in the Zaporozhye direction, in the Rabotino-Verbovoye area. After the liberation of Avdeevka, fighting intensified in this area, but later active assault operations there stopped for a while. “We are rolling in wave after wave, pushing through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” this is how one of our fighters described the situation in the Zaporozhye direction a few days ago.

On Friday, March 7, it turned out that our units, also thanks to the chosen tactics, advanced one kilometer northwest of Verbovoy.

Footage from the construction sites of new fortified areas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the Primorskoye – Magdalinovka – Yurkovka line, and further bypassing west of Orekhov, has appeared on the network. Our fighter commented on this futile work: “In less than a day, in the Zaporozhye direction there have already been almost 30 bombings by the Russian Aerospace Forces with FABs (high-explosive aerial bombs. – “MK”). I don’t quite understand for whom they are building this sticky place near Zaporozhye. And who will they fill these trenches with?”

Things are not going well for the enemy in Chasov Yar, to which our army is making its way from the southeast in the Krasnoye (Ivanovsky) area and from the northeast in the Bogdanovka area. Thus, Polish military experts noticed that our Aerospace Forces have changed bombing tactics in the area. They were perplexed by the sudden increase in the depth of airstrikes – both quantitatively and qualitatively.

According to our military experts, the Russian Aerospace Forces transferred the Syrian tactics of one-by-one destruction of targets to Chasov Yar: in order to save equipment and people, the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the network of positions, including forest belts, our aviation is actively “weeding” with RBK-500U cluster munitions. “In this way, everything that is dug into the ground 30-50 cm is affected, dugouts and shelters are broken through,” noted the Military Chronicle channel.

After such “weeding,” demolition of positions in high-rise buildings and any objects built of concrete begins. At the same time, domestic drones Orlan and Supercam conduct continuous surveillance.

Military experts state that, thanks to aviation, the situation in Chasov Yar for the Ukrainian Armed Forces is deteriorating “much faster than what happened during the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian army in 2023 in the Zaporozhye direction.”
